While he is most well-known for his "Magic Formula Investing" published in "The Little Book that Beats the Market," Joel Greenblatt's philosophy was ultimately quite simple: buy cheap stocks with a high earnings yield (earnings per share divided by price) and a high return on capital, also known as return on invested capital (ROIC). Inspired by Greenblatt's simple wisdom, we developed this strategy with a couple of small additions.
